The Sweet Road Home |
||
| 1 | Color of late sunset | |
| 2 | Dancing through the trees - | |
| 3 | This last mile full of promise yet | |
| 4 | Comes nice as you please | |
| 5 |
Along the sweet road home. |
|
| 6 | Morning Thursday early | |
| 7 | Burdened by my wares; | |
| 8 | These poems and ther melodies | |
| 9 | Of our forest and her bearns; | |
| 10 | I - who shall inherit these - | |
| 11 | Take them where I roam | |
| 12 | To draw me back like gravity | |
| 13 |
Along the sweet road home. |
|
| 14 | In her blue gingham dress | |
| 15 | Greet me at our door; | |
| 16 | Wash away my road-weariness | |
| 17 | In her graceful arms once more: | |
| 18 | Amen the sweet road home. | |
| 19 |
Amen the sweet road home. |
