Tigers of Broadway
William J. Hall - June, 1979

So we jumped a jumbo jet back to New York City
To haunt the streets with people all around
Rushing with the crush
A little wild and lush
And looking pretty
We are the tidal wave
The tigers of Broadway
Goat and Unicorn
Running with the wolves on Saturday
Nights
Like sheeps' clothing in the New York carnival lights

And sometimes it's a trip I don't mind taking
And I think it's just a game I like to play
Dizzying and dazed
A little cool and crazed
And far from faking
We are the tidal wave
The tigers of Broadway
Goat and Unicorn
Running with the wolves on Saturday
Nights
Like sheeps' clothing in the New York carnival lights

I can feel the warmth in crowds that swarm to take us
And their voices sound like tolling iron bells
Moving all around
Shouting in the sound
That molds and makes us
We are the tidal wave
The tigers of Broadway
Goat and Unicorn
Running with the wolves on Saturday
Nights
Like sheeps' clothing in the New York carnival lights
